[baby barber--it's a girl!]

it's official folks...we are having a little baby girl come early june (maybe even may!)

i know i know...we thought boy all along, but we're thrilled to be having a baby girl. ;)

this wednesday marks week 22...which is pretty incredible. it seems like just yesterday i was reading that at-home pregnancy test thinking those two pink lines were somehow not right! haha.

so far, this pregnancy has been a joy (besides the throwing up part), and its crazy to think in just 4 short months we'll have a lil' one of our own.

the big changes this week have been the growth of my belly. yeah, i've noticed it a lot more now...bumping into counter tops. oh, and the backpain too....not liking that one too much. i'm having a real hard time sleeping at night.

here's some fun baby info:
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

here's a fun photo of me at 20 wks!
