[baby mozart]

After hours of waiting in line, Apple came through. The ipad2 was in stock--well--not really. They were technically all sold out again by the time the stores actually opened at 9am. But that's why we, and by we I mean Peter, got there at 6am.

And it paid off. Welcome home ipad2. Welcome home.

Of course, Natalie wasted no time getting her little hands on this bright new toy. She's one for gadgets.

And she's got a pretty neat daddy who downloaded some terrific baby apps for her.
App #1, "Baby Piano."

As you will see....we have the next budding Mozart on our hands. =)

[happy baby]

Peter and I continually thank God for our "happy baby." She is indeed, one happy baby.

I'm convinced around 5-5:30pm is her happy hour. The time where she lets loose, giggles like crazy, and if she could, she'd dance til' her little heart overflow-ith with laughter.

The other night, Pete caught another one of her episodes. And this required absolutely no editing...it speaks for itself.

[mirror, mirror]

It's hard to believe, but the facts don't lie. Natalie is now seven, yes, seven months old.

My gut tells me she's going to be mobile in no time, no time at all. Already able to sit up, lean forward, and stand holding something about her height unassisted tells me we have a little one who desires to move. And only time will tell.

The past few weeks, we've been working on getting Alie to sit up all by herself, which she now does effortlessly. I caught her a few weeks back, trying to catch a glimpse of the cute baby she saw in the mirror on her toy. little does she know...

thought family would enjoy this one. so here you go.

[the big roll]

Well, it happened. A few weeks ago now, but it happened. What is it you ask? The much anticipated roll-over. Yup! Natalie went from one side to the next all on her own, and we even have video to prove it!

She not only surprised herself, but she surprised us when we put her on her tummy like we always do and she immediately went to work pushing and twisting and shortly thereafter, flipping to the backside. And yes, we were those giddy proud parents, clapping and screaming, all the while Natalie looking up at us like "Guys, why are you yelling at me?"

We know this is the one of many BIG milestones! So..as promised a few weeks back, here's the proof!

[bath time]

It's a bed time ritual here at the Barber home to get a bath. And Natalie knows it. Heck, she loves it! Here's a short clip of some of splashes and bath time fun!

[first pears]

The "solids" phase has officially begun.

We gave Natalie her first taste of real food--well--that's realitive. We gave her her first taste of baby food the other day, "First Pears." By the looks of the empty jar on our countertop, she really enjoyed them! And yes, we even got a short video of it for all the Grammies and Grandpas out there.
